Staff from NEW College Pontefract are raising money for the DEC’s Nepal Earthquake Appeal by entering the Leeds Run For All 10k in July.
Over a dozen staff have already joined the team, with the aim of raising over £2,000 to help victims of the natural disaster. For Pauline Hagen, NEW College’s Principal, the DEC appeal is especially poignant as she had only returned from a visit to Nepal a few weeks ago.
“Even before this devastating earthquake, Nepal was the poorest country in the region. Its lovely people have very little, and visiting there was both a humbling and beautiful experience.”
